How Nexalin Works

The Nexalin device works by delivering a gentle electrical current intended to stimulate structures deep within the brain in order to relieve the symptoms of anxiety, depression and insomnia. Utilizing a patented method and specially trained technicians, you are treated to relaxing 40 minute sessions, in which the you recline in a comfortable chair while the therapy is being administered.

The Therapy

While you recline comfortably in a softly lit room, our trained and certified Nexalin Technician carefully places medical grade conductive pads on your forehead and behind each ear. The pads are then connected to the Nexalin source device with thin cables. The patented Nexalin waveform is administered through these pads, produced specifically for the Nexalin technology, delivering an unnoticeable electric current to gently stimulate the brain. This has been shown to help balance your mind and body.

Nexalin Advanced Therapy is a highly effective and very soothing treatment. Our centers offer you a relaxing environment where you are treated to a quiet, 40 minute rejuvenating session.

In Dr. Katsnelson’s words:

“The study of the mechanism of transcranial electric analgesia (TEA) revealed its relation to the excitation of the certain structures of the brain stem and activation of certain neurotransmitter mechanisms. Autographically, with the help of 3H-deoxyglucose, it was demonstrated that transcranial electric stimulation (TES) induced the excitation of antinociceptive neuronal system of some hypothalamus nuclei and periaqueductal gray matter. The analgesia under TES is of opiate character since it has a sensitivity to naloxone, accompanied by the increase of beta-endorphin concentration in liquor [cerebrospinal fluid] and midbrain (radioimmunoassay studies), by competitive displacement of 1251-morphine in mu-receptors of hypothalamus neurons, periaqueductal gray and raphe nuclei and also by crossed tolerance to morphine. Electro-physiologically, it was found that during TEA the bulbar components of somato-somatic, somatosympatic and viscero-sympatic reflexes were primarily suppressed, thus promoting the stabilization of hemodynamics.”
